The 29-year-olds status at the LaLiga side has come under question with rumours of a move away and back to the Premier League.Writing in AS, journalist Guillem Balague claims that Spurs chairman Levy raised the possibility of taking Bale on a season-long loan, with Madrid continuing to pay the vast bulk of his wages.3

The proposal, though, was deemed so unlikely to work that it did not even make it to the offices at the Bernabeu.Madrid are thought to be keen on signing Spurs star Christian Eriksen in the summer as they look to overhaul their squad after crashing out of the Champions League and falling behind Barcelona in the league.3
